HAIR REMOVAL
Put an end to slow, messy and painful methods of hair removal.
Shaving, waxing, tweezing, depilation and hair removal creams have been replaced by hair removal in a flash. Ellipse uses short bursts of safe, visible light emitted from a flash-lamp to remove unwanted hair from all body sites, safely and effectively.
How Ellipse treatment works
The Ellipse operator guides the visible light from the flash-lamp to the treatment area. The unique Ellipse system carefully filters this light in two ways to ensure that only light with the correct wavelengths is allowed to reach your skin.
Hair contains pigment (melanin) that absorbs the light and converts it into heat. The hair transmits this heat into the hair follicle, which is then destroyed and unable to produce a new hair.
To ensure optimal light transmission to the hair, a thin layer of gel (similar to that used in ultrasound examinations) is applied to your skin before treatment. The operator then moves the hand-held applicator over the entire treatment area exactly one applicator width after each flash of light.

ACNE REMOVAL
Get a clearer complexion – faster.
Most of us experience acne to some extent during our lives. For many people it is a short-term annoyance, but others develop more long-term and more severe acne. Medication can help reduce acne, but Ellipse treatment in combination with prescription medication has been clinically proven to accelerate the healing process for acne.
How Ellipse treatment works
Ellipse uses short bursts of safe, visible light emitted from a flash-lamp to treat the affected area. The Ellipse operator guides the visible light from the flash-lamp to the skin. The Ellipse flash-lamp emits light that is carefully filtered before it reaches the skin; this ensures that only light with the correct wavelengths is allowed to reach your skin. The light that is allowed through is absorbed by haemoglobin, which is the red pigment in blood.
The heat from the flash-lamp heats up the haemoglobin in the fine blood vessels near the skin surface. This causes a minor injury to the sebaceous glands and slows down the overproduction of oil that leads to acne.

VASCULAR LESION
Remove your thread veins safely and effectively
Are you constantly checking your make-up or always wearing dark tights? You don’t have to try to cover your thread veins anymore. Ellipse uses short bursts of safe, visible light emitted from a flash-lamp to quickly remove those thin, spidery veins (technically called telangiectasias) from your face or legs. Spider nevi, Hemangiomas and Port Wine Stains can also be treated.
How Ellipse treatment works
The vessels to be treated are bund near the surface of the skin. The Ellipse operator guides the visible light from the flash-lamp to the blood vessels needing treatment. The unique Ellipse system carefully filters this light in two ways to ensure that only light with the correct wavelengths is allowed to reach your skin.
Blood contains haemoglobin that absorbs the light and converts it into heat. This heat destroys the protein in the wall of the thread vein. As a result the veins will gradually, and safely, disappear after treatment.
To ensure optimal light transmission to the blood vessel, a thin layer of gel (similar to that used in ultrasound examinations) is applied to your skin before treatment.

PIGMENTED LESION
Remove pigmented lesions safely and effectively.
The most common ways to deal with pigmented lesions have been makeup, surgery and lasers. Makeup is simple, inexpensive and painless – but it is only a cover-up and requires an everlasting commitment. Surgical treatment of pigmented lesions has shown mixed success, often with scarring as an adverse effect. Lasers can indeed produce good results, however many lasers are specific to only one particular type of lesion. Ellipse treatment offers clinically proven, long-term removal of many types of pigmented lesions in the upper layer of skin.
How Ellipse treatment works
Ellipse treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by one of the body's own natural chemicals – melanin – which is concentrated in the pigmented areas.
Melanin converts the light energy it absorbs into heat. This heat is used to destroy the parts of the cells in which the melanin is stored. This technique has the name "Selective Photothermolysis."
The visible light produced by the Ellipse device is carefully controlled to produce the correct pulse length and right amount of energy to destroy the target without damaging surrounding tissues.
SUN-DAMAGED SKIN
Most people would like to keep a young and fresh look forever
This is not easy, as our skin ages due to excessive sun exposure and decreased production of collagen. Skin Rejuvenation treatment with Ellipse helps you keep a younger and fresher look. The safe, visible light emitted from the Ellipse flash-lamp makes your face look smoother by removing age spots and diffuse redness and by improving your skin texture. Uneven pigmentation is also reduced. Many women report that it becomes easier to apply makeup. Facial treatments are most popular, but all parts of the body can be treated.
How Ellipse treatment works
The unique Ellipse flash-lamp produces light that is carefully filtered in two ways to ensure that only light with the correct characteristics (wavelengths) is allowed to reach your skin.
The light that is allowed through has been chosen because it is the sort that two natural body substances respond to. Age spots contain a substance called melanin, and diffuse redness contains a substance called haemoglobin. When cells containing a lot of melanin or haemoglobin are hit with the right type of light, they heat up and are destroyed within a few thousandths of one second.
WRINKLE REDUCTION
Visible improvement in as little as one month
Ellipse offers the market's brightest light-based wrinkle reduction treatment. By combining Ellipse Intense Pulsed Light treatment with a revolutionary skin spray, the treatment delivers visible improvements in as little as one month. In addition to wrinkles, a course of treatment also benefits skin texture and fine lines. This unique approach to reducing the signs of aging is thoroughly tested by dermatologists.
How Ellipse treatment works
The Ellipse wrinkle reduction treatment is a two step procedure:
1. First the skin is sprayed with Intense by Ellipse Photo Spray every 5 minutes for 1 hour. This spray acts as a photosensitiser, making your skin more receptive to the light and reducing wrinkles by collagen stimulation.
2. After spraying, a transparent water based gel (similar to that used in ultrasound examinations) is applied to your face. The Ellipse operator guides the visible light from the flash-lamp to your face going over the area 3 times.
